Day 86 of 100

For as you know him better, he will give you, through his great power, everything you need for living a truly good life: he even shares his own glory and his own goodness with us! And by that same mighty power he has given us all the other rich and wonderful blessings he promised; for instance, the promise to save us from the lust and rottenness all around us, and to give us his own character. – 2 Peter 1:3-4 (TLB)

Perfect God, we ask on behalf of your people for renewed and bountiful sound judgment, personal discipline, courage, and the insight to tap into your divine power.

Lord of our lives, we ask that you bless us with self-control that transcends our past, our current abilities and circumstances, and what we could ever earn or believe for on our own. We ask that you renew our understanding and knowledge of you as our source. We ask that you make us able to receive the knowledge of you and blessings from you that contribute to a full satisfied life. We ask that you pour into us wisdom, courage, and strength to live a calm, well balanced, sensible life. We ask that you help us make decisions like you would make them. We ask that you would mature us to desire, pursue, and be able to live with self control beyond what the world teaches, preaches, or is capable of without you.

Thank you Almighty, for doing in us what we are unable to do in ourselves. Thank you for imparting your good judgment, wisdom, strength, courage, and love into us so we may live well, disciplined, balanced, and be able to partake in all the blessings you have for us. Thank you for knowing the skills and character we would need in this life. Thank you for your power that makes us well able to manage and appreciate your blessings and discern and interrupt the evils of this world. Thank you for power, love, good judgment, and personal discipline.

In the name of Jesus, who conquered death to give us power to live a good, peaceful, and satisfied life, it is so!

The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control. – 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)
