Day 74 of 100
Christ has given each of us special abilities—whatever he wants us to have out of his rich storehouse of gifts. – Ephesians 4:7 (TLB)
Our most generous and loving Father, we come asking for the abundant grace of God and gifts of the spirit to manifest in believers.
Lord, please send your spirit as the source of your good gifts. From the Spirit awaken us to our individual service to you. Please work in our lives and display God’s immense power through each of us as a means of helping the entire church. Please activate and make manifest as you see fit in us: the ability to give wise advice, the art of studying and teaching, wonder working faith, extraordinary power to heal the sick, power to work miracles, speaking new messages of God for the people, ability to distinguish good godly doctrine from deception, to speak in unlearned languages, and understand and interpret unknown languages. Please revive our purpose and restore unto us the joy of salvation’s gifts!
Thank you for your love, wisdom, and power, which you share in abundance. Thank you that your gifts are active and useful for us and the church. Thank you for discovery and activation, help and encouragement in the body of Christ. Thank you that our lives are reinvigorated by our encounter and obedience to this new dimension of your almighty presence. Thank you for choosing us exactly as you did.
In the name of the wise God, strong spirit, and Son who perfectly gives to us, it is so!
Men have different gifts, but it is the same Spirit who gives them. There are different ways of serving God, but it is the same Lord who is served. God works through different men in different ways, but it is the same God who achieves his purposes through them all. Each man is given his gift by the Spirit that he may make the most of it. – 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (PHILLIPS)
