Day 58 of 100

So remember that the Lord your God is the only God, and you can trust him! He keeps his agreement. He shows his love and kindness to all people who love him and obey his commands. He continues to show his love and kindness through a thousand generations. – Deuteronomy 7:9 (ERV)

Faithful God of love and truth, we come lifting our brothers and sisters weak, struggling, forgetful, or in need of confirmation of your faithfulness. Please show them you are the faithful God who loves them and teach them to trust you.

Our Father, we come seeking blessed assurance, peace, hope, remembrance of your faithfulness. Help us trust you to be God – the only God, big wise God, all powerful God, God who is for us, God who loves us through every generation and in and out of our faithfulness to him, the kind and merciful God, the God who is there and here and who sees and harkens to us. God, please surround us with signs and wonders, with living proof, with sensory connection to you. Please help us to know and remember your faithfulness. Please bless us with new encounters with your lovingkindness, new testimonies of your faithfulness to us. Please strengthen our faith with your faith, so we may know you are present, kind, and faithful to us and to your promises.

We thank you for incontrovertible proof in your Son, in the Word, in the visions and stories, and experiences of those who came before us and even in our own lives. We thank you for the certainty that you are God alone, that you are the God who is with us, that you are the God who is faithful to us, that you are the God who knows us and loves us despite who we are or are not. We thank you that you are more than we are. We thank you that your love is never ending, that you don’t fail, that you have not given up or forgotten about us. We thank you that your faith carries us when our own is too fragile to keep us going. We thank you for the hope which is our great precursor to strengthened faith, and sight of you at work for us, surrounding us, leading and protecting us, prospering and promoting us, loving us inside and out. Thank you for imparting to us an immeasurable increase in trust for who you are and in your Word.

In the name of the one true God, who keeps his promises, we believe it is so!

True, some of them were unfaithful, but just because they broke their promises to God, does that mean God will break his promises? Of course not! Though everyone else in the world is a liar, God is not. Do you remember what the book of Psalms says about this? That God’s words will always prove true and right, no matter who questions them. – Romans 3:3-4 (TLB)
