Day 44 of 100
For He delivered us and saved us and called us with a holy calling [a calling that leads to a consecrated life—a life set apart—a life of purpose], not because of our works [or because of any personal merit—we could do nothing to earn this], but because of His own purpose and grace [His amazing, undeserved favor] which was granted to us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago] – 2 Timothy 1:9 (AMP)
God our Father, we come lifting your people up, placing our lives before you, for dedicated service and transformation by the power of your Word and Spirit. We pray for right thinking and right believing and for power to live as sacrifices for your wondrous purposes. May we learn these lessons well and may our life become your praise and glory.
Lord of All, we come seeking knowledge, courage, wisdom, and action for a proper response to your marvelous mercies.
Please help us surrender ourselves to you our God, to be your sacred living sacrifices.
Please help us live in holiness, experiencing all that delights your heart. May this new life become our genuine expression of worship.
Help us end the endless imitation, worship, and acceptance of the ideals and opinions of the culture around us.
Create in us an inward transformation by the Holy Spirit leading to a total reformation of how we think.
Please empower us to discern your will as we live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in your eyes.
Please empty us of self-promotion and false images of our own importance. Instead, please help us honestly assess our worth using our God-given faith as the standard of measurement, so we can see our true value with the appropriate self-esteem.
